Katie Potter, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida

Have you been feeling lost, overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who you are lately?

What would it feel like to finally have a safe space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported?

Are you ready to begin healing, rediscover your strengths, and reconnect with your voice again?

Hi! My name is Katie Potter, and I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard, understood, and valued. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that allows people to explore their experiences, heal from the past, and grow into the person they want to be. My counseling approach is person-centered and holistic, rooted in the belief that healing involves every aspect of our lives—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

Many of the clients I work with come into therapy feeling lost, overwhelmed, burnt out, anxious, or unsure of who they are. I enjoy helping individuals navigate life transitions, grief, self-esteem struggles, identity exploration, and burnout. I am especially passionate about helping clients build confidence, reconnect with their strengths, and find their voice again. Whether I am supporting an anxious teenager struggling with people-pleasing, a young adult trying to discover their identity, or an adult beginning to unpack childhood wounds, my goal is to help clients feel empowered, hopeful, and less alone.

I believe healing is not linear. Life is constantly changing, and growth often involves learning how to adapt, process difficult experiences, and develop healthy tools along the way. I love helping clients explore patterns, make meaning of their experiences, and rewrite the stories they’ve been carrying about themselves. I strive to create an uplifting and encouraging environment where clients can safely process deep emotions while also recognizing the strength that’s already inside of them. Creativity and holistic wellness are also an important part of how I approach the counseling process. As someone who loves art, creativity, health, fitness, and wellness, I value the connection between our internal world and the environments and habits that shape us. As a Christian counselor, I am happy to incorporate scripture and Biblical principles for clients who request it, while welcoming and respecting individuals from all backgrounds and beliefs. My hope is to be a light for others by offering compassion, encouragement, and a safe place for healing, growth, and restoration.
