Jolene Lantz, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida
Are you tired of feeling stuck; like no matter what you do, you can’t move forward? Maybe you’re carrying pain you can’t quite name.
Do you find yourself reliving the past, paralyzed by fear, or wrestling with feelings of guilt for even wanting professional help?
Do you feel unseen and alone, wondering why life feels heavy even though, on paper, things look fine? You have a good job, a supportive family, a thriving church community, and friends. Yet something inside feels disconnected, as if there are different parts of you pulling in opposite directions.
You may believe that you’ll always struggle, that your thoughts are too noisy to quiet, or that your feelings don’t make sense. You may even question your faith, wondering why you aren’t living in the peace and abundance that you believe should come with trusting God.
Hi, I’m Jolene Lantz. I have both hope and faith to share with you! Therapy isn’t just for “that” person; it’s for everyone. You can love Jesus and your therapist without guilt. You can seek healing without shame. I respect and welcome ALL individuals from every walk of faith and life. My goal is to help you experience freedom, peace, and rest while understanding yourself more deeply.
Personally, I am a retired homeschool mama, grateful to do this clinical work and have been with my adult children as they were growing and developing. I have been told that I am strong, long-suffering, and passionate, qualities I bring to my therapeutic relationships. I thrive in spaces of challenge and growth. Having enjoyed the faithfulness and lovingkindness of Christ, I believe this blessing is for everyone.
I work with people who are lonely, frustrated, confused, or exhausted by the unwanted patterns in their life. Many of my clients have wondered, “Why do I keep doing things I don’t want to do but then turn around and don’t do things I actually want to do?” These individuals are aware of their explicit memories, facts stored in our brains, such as the path taken when traveling to work or church. However, implicit memory, the unconscious, effortless recall often stored in our bodies, can also influence our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
With a commitment to deep, extensive work, healing of your mind, body, and soul, can pave the way for you to welcome all parts of yourself, and your story, into the light. Together, we’ll explore what happened and what didn’t happen, but should have for healthy development, in your life. As you grow in understanding why you act or feel in undesired ways, you can reclaim the life you desire.
I believe the route to boundless hope begins with understanding your past, getting curious about your thoughts/feelings/behavior, and listening to the story your body tells. Therefore, I use an integrative approach, including attachment theory, trauma-focused parts work, EMDR, and somatic psychology. Whether you are new to therapy or have been on this path for years, you will find working with me to have depth, connection, laughter, and challenge, allowing for growth. Emotional safety is my priority, and I am honored to hold sacred space for you as you process your story. Healing is possible, and it is my joy to help you find it.
