Delilah Hernandez, Intern in Florida

Are you a teen or young adult facing decisions that feel overwhelming or uncertain?

Have you struggled with navigating relationships, identity, or life transitions?

Do you feel a desire to go deeper, to understand the root of what you’re experiencing and grow into the person you were created to be?

Hi, I’m Delilah. I have a deep love for learning, not just academically, but in getting to know each person I sit with. I value creating an environment where you can show up as you are, explore your experiences honestly, and feel both seen and supported.

I primarily work with teens and adults who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and questions about identity and purpose. These seasons can feel heavy, especially when you’re trying to make sense of who you are and where you’re going. Together, we will explore not only what you’re facing, but also your strengths, gifts, and the unique qualities that make you who you are.

I work with individuals who want to go beyond surface-level solutions. You may feel ready to get to the root of what’s been holding you back, even if that process feels uncomfortable at times. I believe growth often comes through being both encouraged and gently challenged, and I strive to walk with you in a way that honors both.

My approach to counseling is grounded in presence, compassion, and faith. I seek to first exemplify God’s presence by sitting with my clients and listening well. From that place, I aim to encourage, challenge, and gently guide, while loving each client right where they are. I believe that true healing involves the whole person, and I am passionate about supporting growth that is emotional, mental, relational, spiritual, and physical.

One of the most meaningful parts of this work is witnessing clients experience healing and freedom in areas they never believed were possible. I believe that through reflection, growth becomes possible. As John Dewey said, “We do not learn from experience, we learn from reflecting on experience.” Counseling offers that space to reflect, to grow, and to step into a fuller, more whole version of yourself.

I also have a heart for those who are working through deeper areas such as unforgiveness, self-worth, and learning to love themselves as they were created. These are not easy places to go, but they are often where the most meaningful healing happens. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to process those experiences and move toward wholeness.

If you are ready to go deeper, to be both supported and challenged, and to pursue healing in every area of your life, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
