Claudia Laux, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida
Do you ever feel like you’re trying your hardest to grow, but keep falling into the same patterns?
Do you long to live with more peace, purpose, and confidence in who God made you to be?
Are you looking for a space where you can bring your whole self, without judgment, and begin again with hope?
Hi, I’m Claudia. I am passionate about helping people grow into the healthiest, truest version of themselves. I believe that healing involves the whole person, including their mind, body, and spirit. Our relationships, culture, and past experiences all play a role in shaping who we are. My goal is to help you understand your story, find meaning in your experiences, and move toward lasting change that feels genuine and freeing.
My heart for counseling is deeply rooted in my faith. I’ve experienced the mercy and renewal of Christ in my own life, and I see therapy as one of the ways He restores and strengthens His people. It’s a privilege to walk with clients as they begin to see that even in the hardest seasons, healing and growth are possible. I want each person I meet with to know they are deeply loved, capable of change, and not defined by what they’ve been through.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety and OCD, including intrusive thoughts, unwanted fears, compulsions, reassurance-seeking, and the constant pursuit of certainty that can make everyday life feel overwhelming. I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based approach for OCD, to help clients learn to respond differently to anxiety and intrusive thoughts rather than allowing fear to dictate their choices. ERP can be challenging, but it can also create meaningful freedom as clients learn that they are capable of facing uncertainty without relying on compulsions or avoidance.
I work with children, teenagers, and young adults. I especially treasure the opportunity to help young women navigating identity, relationships, faith, anxiety, and the unique challenges that come with growing into adulthood. I also love supporting single mothers who carry more than most people realize. It brings me so much joy to witness those moments when a client begins to feel lighter, stronger, and hopeful again.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, OCD, life transitions, relationships, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I believe there is hope for meaningful change, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you take the next steps toward greater freedom, confidence, and peace.
