Sheela Martin, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida

Sheela Martin, Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Boundless Hope Christian Counseling and Certified Trauma Professional in Florida

Have you felt yourself drifting away from God, people, church, or the things that once brought you joy, without really knowing why?

Do you consistently feel tired or unmotivated, even after a full night’s sleep?

Are you stuck in your head, worrying about things that haven’t happened, or replaying things you wish you’d done differently?

Hi there!  My name is Sheela Martin and I support individuals working through various challenges, including those described above.

Before I was a counselor, I was a client that sought personal healing. As I learned, grew, and recovered from my own wounds, I began to see counseling as a gift we give ourselves. Pausing to examine your life, relationships, and internal landscape requires courage. If you have the desire to live differently and are considering taking steps toward beginning a new life, engaging in professional counseling is a wise way to equip yourself for the journey. As a servant of Christ, I pray to be a vessel which carries His message of hope to others.

I specialize in counseling individuals healing from trauma, codependency, grief and betrayal. I have walked alongside many women in therapy sessions and while facilitating support groups. Relationship-based trauma is devastating. It impacts how one views themselves, God, and others. But I want you to know that healing is possible.

You are not beyond repair, and you don’t have to figure it all out alone. In our work together, we will move at your pace, creating a space where your story is honored and your voice matters. Whether you are carrying silent burdens, untangling painful patterns, or simply longing to feel whole again, my heart is to walk with you toward restoration emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain

I am also eager to help women and teens overcome anxiety and/or depression. Both of these exist on a spectrum. This means that symptoms can range in intensity, may fluctuate over time, and even manifest differently in different people. For one person, anxiety might look like racing thoughts and restlessness; for another, it might feel like paralyzing fear or constant overthinking. The same goes for depression; it could be deep sadness, numbness, irritability, or simply a lack of motivation. Regardless of what you experience, you matter and there are evidence-based strategies that can help.

I have witnessed God’s power over deep wounds and seen Him give numerous people a new perspective on life. Whether you are considering counseling because you are in crisis or are being proactive in caring for your mental health, it is of utmost importance to me that you feel compassion, kindness and non-judgmental acceptance when you meet with me. Therefore, I strive to build therapeutic relationships based on safety and trust.

I want my clients to feel safe enough to get real and consider it an honor to bear witness when they make the brave decision to reveal their most vulnerable parts. If you are ready to take the next step to wellness or change, please call me for a free phone consultation.
