Christie Rosa, Intern in Florida

Do you feel like you have to be strong, faithful, or put together on the outside, even when you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you really are on the inside?

Are you trying to honor your faith, your family, and your cultural values while feeling disconnected from each other, unsure how to talk honestly without fear, guilt, or shame getting in the way?

Are you walking through a life transition or season of anxiety where your hope feels dim, your identity feels uncertain, and you long for a safe place to be honest, heal, and rediscover who God created you to be?

¡Hola! My name is Chris Rosa, but you can call me Christie. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, where my love for God and His people first blossomed. My passion for helping, encouraging and uplifting others flows from witnessing the transformation the Holy Spirit, the ultimate Counselor and Comforter, creates in a willing heart. Over the years, I’ve been honored to serve in many places and in various capacities.

In Puerto Rico and Connecticut, I pastored youth navigating emotional distress, bicultural identity, and the tender questions that shape emerging adulthood—often sharing messages of hope through performative arts. I’ve walked with women rediscovering their worth during mission work in the Dominican Republic, supported military spouses carrying invisible burdens, and cultivated Hispanic discipleship groups in the state of Georgia (Salute to my Dogface soldiers!) Each story has shaped the way I hold space: with reverence, warmth, and deep respect for every person God entrusts to me.

Today, I view the time I spend with my clients as sacred work—an opportunity to partner with the Holy Spirit in creating an atmosphere of safety, truth, grace, and transformation. Ultimately, I strive to be a therapist who helps others feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to grow, and empowered enough to step courageously into the life God has uniquely designed for them.

I am passionate about helping teens, adults, and couples navigate life transitions, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the complexities of bicultural identity, especially within the Hispanic community. I understand the unique tension of honoring our cultural roots while embracing new spaces, expectations, and identities. My heart is to support those balancing faith, calling, family, career, and personal growth in culturally meaningful and spiritually grounded ways.

I believe healing is both personal and powerful. It begins within one life, yet its impact ripples outward, touching families, communities, and generations. When one person chooses to heal, something holy shifts around them. When an engaged or married couple seeks counseling as they build the foundation for their family, they are investing in a legacy for their children and their children’s children.

“This is one of my favorite quotes. It’s a reminder to me that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves—spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.”

~ Christie Rosa, BA

Therapy can help you cultivate strength, reclaim your identity, and begin to speak/think about yourself with compassion instead of shame. I love watching confidence return to someone’s eyes, hearing laughter that had been quiet for too long, and celebrating victories that others might never see but mean everything to that person. If you are ready to step out of shame, embrace forgiveness, form healthier relationships, and rise into your God-given potential, I would be honored to walk with you. Let’s take that step together.
