Jess Osborn, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, curious about yourself, or simply longing for a space to be heard? Are you perplexed by your child’s social anxiety and unsure how best to support them? Do you wonder who you are beneath the masks you wear and roles you play? You’re in the right place.
Hi! I'm Jess Osborn. I help children, teens, adults, and families find balance, healing, and health in their daily lives. I value a holistic approach to health because I believe that mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health all play a role in shaping who we are and influencing how we respond to daily life situations. I am equipped with tools to assist clients navigating many experiences, such as:
Grief
Generalized anxiety and depression
Physical, emotional, relational, and sexual health
Identity
Life transitions
Social anxiety
Eating concerns
Body image struggles
Challenging family dynamics
I have a special place in my heart for college-aged clients who are navigating the complex terrain of early adulthood. This season of life is often filled with big questions about identity, shifting relationships, academic and career pressures, and the sometimes overwhelming process of learning who you are and who you want to become. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where young adults can explore these transitions with curiosity and compassion. Whether you're facing anxiety, relational challenges, or just trying to make sense of your place in the world, I’m here to walk alongside you as you grow in self-understanding and confidence.
Regardless of what has brought you here, taking the first step to consider therapy is an act of bravery, and I deeply honor that. Therapy is for everyone. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.
I was inspired to become a therapist after witnessing my college professors live out the material they were teaching and noticing how much I loved coming alongside others in meaningful, supportive ways as an elementary school teacher—I knew I wanted to do that full-time. In my therapeutic relationships, I strive to be a safe listener, advocate for change, and partner in problem solving. It brings me great joy when I witness my clients grow to understand and love themselves on a deeper level, beginning to live freely as their authentic self. The understanding we have of ourselves is what we use to move through life, so self actualization and acceptance is a key in finding purpose and passion each day.
Clients often describe me as lively and passionate, grounded in empathy, and genuinely invested in their stories. I believe that healing happens best in a relationship where you feel truly seen, heard, and safe, and I hope to provide that and more.
In our first sessions together, we’ll take time to get to know each other and gently explore what brought you to therapy. I never rush this process, and I never push clients—of any age—to share more than they feel ready for. Therapy should feel like a space that honors your pace and your voice. My goal is to help you build insight, develop tools you can carry with you long after therapy ends, and reconnect with the strengths you already have.
Outside of the office, you can usually find me in nature with my dog, collecting house plants, spending precious time with loved ones, or traveling to new places that bring me curiosity and joy.
If therapy sounds like the next step for you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
